The easy way is the only way, it's not too bad if you know what you need to be looking for when you do it. If you want to replace it, it's plug and play, only things you need are new copper crush washers for the banjo bolts, which you can find at a hardware store, and a new turbo to manifold gasket which is like 3 bucks at a dealer.
But for a swap to the mitsu turbo, you would need an ECU tune for it to run right, plus different lines. Details are in that thread^
I still have the spare garrett from mine if you want a replacement, send me a PM if you need it, had no problems and ran great, just wanted to upgrade, but it's just sitting as a spare now.
