housing GT42 Rear MANIFOLD

Hey guys,
I am chasing a gt42 (102mm wheel, 53 trim) but since they usually come with a different flange(t6?), i will not be able to bolt it on my manifold( being a t4 manifold flange), so.... what one of the guys mentioned (since its very hard to get a gt42 with a t4 flange), was to get a gt37 rear exhaust housing wich is a .96 a/r with a v band, machine it to suit the gt42 rear wheel and bolt that on!
What i would like to know is, does anyone see any problems with doing that?
Will the smaller exhaust housing( gt37) and a/r cause any surge or problems as it might be too small for that frame turbo? i dont mind sacrificing a bit of power as at least i wont have to modify my manifold and might even end up having quicker spool?

I know people such as precision make/modify a gt42 so it comes with a to4 footprint, but i dont know what kind of housing/specs they use, and since im all the way from down under/australia, it would cost too much for shipping and a new housing to order from them.

Any info from the turbo guys would be appreciated, anyone with a similar setup with any data please reply, i could use all the help i can get :)
cheers
Danny
